28 July - 1 August	Biggar Balloon and Bike Festival	A novel event combining the speedy earthbound world of motorcycles with the more ethereal world of the hot air balloon! Huge numbers are expected so we hope to see you there in the sunshine!
29 August	Hizzy Memorial Run	This year's Hizzy Memorial Run promises to be bigger and better than 2009 (around 700 hardy souls turned out in the not so good weather). This year's run will take place on Sunday 29th of August, the day after the first ever 'Hizzy Track Night' at Knockhill. The Run will meet at Knockhill for 8.15 a.m. for the parade lap round the track, leave Knockhill around 9.30 a.m., stop at the Forth Road Bridge 9.45 a.m., leave 10 a.m. heading onto Edinburgh City Bypass to Sherriffhall roundabout for 10.30 a.m., onto Duns for 11.45 a.m. then to Earlston, St Boswalls, Selkirk, Hawick High Street then onto Denholm Green where there will be a BBQ and entertainment. Total run about 125 miles with petrol available at Earlston and Denholm. Keep it in your diary!
